Which Children Should NOT be Included in Assessments
- Flu/Covid Clinics: You can and probably should inactivate children ONLY vaccinated at your flu/covid clinics. Clinics should NOT have been assigned ownership for children in mass clinics.
- Community Catch-Up Clinics: If you are an FQHC who did community catch-up clinics, those children seen only at the catch-up clinics should be inactivated.
If you see children for well visits, they belong in the assessment. If not, they don’t.
Families Refusing Vaccinations
If your clinic has children who got most of the series from your clinic, even if they refuse to come back, they still count as your patients. If you have a child whose parent opts out of a vaccine like MMR, you should have them sign a Refusal to Vaccinate Form (English: https://downloads.aap.org/DOPCSP/SOID_RTV_form_01-2019_English.pdf, Spanish: https://downloads.aap.org/DOPCSP/SOID_RTV_form_01-2019_Spanish.pdf)
Winners will be notified about how to claim free tickets. One free ticket will available per award winner. Even if you won Cloud awards for both Toddler and Teen, you will only receive one free ticket.
If you have any questions about the awards or need a printable nomination form, please contact awards@tapi.org.
We look forward to recognizing the exceptional efforts of those whose tireless work and innovative strategies have improved immunization coverage levels statewide.
